The International Bureau of Recurring Disasters has posted an overnight notice on Colombia's latest earthquake, awarding the production two and a half stars for a workmanlike collapse that never strays far from the franchise. Rescue teams spent ten hours freeing a survivor from concrete some 36 hours after the opening credits, a third-act extraction the Bureau observed has tested reliably since at least the eighteenth century.
A spokesman for the Bureau — convened, as these things are, in a hotel function room that will be a conference on resilience by Thursday — addressed the plates' refusal to develop new material.
