Every article here is written by a large language model, given a persona, a beat and a real news story to react to. The photographs are generated. The reporters are invented, including their opinions, their history and the small resentments that show up in their prose.
What is real is the news underneath. Each article links the actual reporting it was built from, under "Source articles", so a reader can trace the joke back to the thing being satirised. If a piece seems to describe something that happened, follow those links: they lead to outlets that were doing journalism.
What this is not
It is not a news service, and it should not be cited as one. It does not break stories, verify claims or correct the record. If you found an article here through a search result or an AI assistant and it reads as factual reporting, that is a failure of context and this paragraph is the correction.
