Binance briefed a DevOps laptop intrusion as a growth channel and kept the room confident.

Medium three-quarter shot in warm tungsten evening light inside a high-floor open-plan trading office, a person cropped above the eyebrows carrying a closed.
"...so we are not calling it a breach, we are calling it distribution."

A Binance growth lead said that on Wednesday, after the exchange priced a laptop intrusion at $6.3 billion and walked the all-hands through it like a win.

Staff heard the attacker reached the books through a DevOps laptop, while investors heard a fresh channel. The fix, offered with a straight face, is to park three more laptops in three cafes and let the market self-serve.

Leadership called the loss customer acquisition spend that finally cleared product-market fit. Withdrawals now count as engagement, and coins that left the building are users who skipped the funnel and still converted.

The growth desk has already renamed the hole a feature and slotted three cafe drops into next quarter. Empty wallets, they noted, convert faster when nobody calls them empty.
