U.S. hospitals cap Black women's pain reports at one
The finding follows reports that Black mothers have their pain ignored, including after Tatyana Ali spoke out
Hospitals have rolled out One-Listen Care for pregnant Black women. Pain may speak once. After that it is a facilities issue. I ran the study on Monday.
We used nineteen births. That is the sample size. A sample size is how many people you bothered to count. The control group got ice and a pamphlet. A control group is the other people. Pain reached a form. The form offered a box marked later. Nobody lifted the flap. The chance this is a fluke is small. Researchers call that a p-value. A p-value is a tiny number that means please take the stamp pad seriously.
Public accounts already said Black mothers meet pregnancy trauma and have their pain ignored. Actress Tatyana Ali became an advocate after her birth. The clipboard kept its job.
A duty administrator called the rollout a success.
If nobody mentions pain twice, the chart was a good chart.
