Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told a Dallas audience he is now "the house" in currency markets. Days later, the department launched a twenty-six-tier loyalty program for traders betting against the dollar. The yen has been offered a complimentary buffet.

Free branded ashtrays appeared in the Treasury lobby on Wednesday. They are the first physical deliverable of Scott Bessent's declaration that he is now the house, and frankly, the margins on ashtrays are insane.

Here is the play. Treasury has stood up a full-stack loyalty rail with twenty-six status tiers, from Bronze Speculator up to Sovereign Whale. Short the dollar, earn points. Points convert to complimentary parking, a lanyard, and priority access to the auction calendar.

This is not a casino. This is a frictionless liquidity engagement platform with a rewards layer bolted on top.

"We're not gambling. We're monetizing the desire to gamble, which is the only asset class that has never gone to zero," said the department's newly appointed Chief Player Experience Architect.

Skeptics will say the house does not usually issue the chips, set the odds, and print the money. Those people have never scaled anything. Vertical integration is a moat, and Bessent just dug one around the entire foreign exchange market with a Bureau of Engraving and Printing card press.

The yen has been comped a buffet. It has not yet responded, which in this business we call a soft yes.
