David Ellison schedules Warner Bros. Discovery's debt for Tuesday

David Ellison's newly combined studio has a bigger crisis than debt or CNN, and it plays before every film.

The Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery merger has produced its first casualty: the start time of every movie. Sources say the new Skydance pre-roll runs nineteen logos deep and audiences are packing coats. Debt, CNN and streaming are described as 'a Tuesday thing.'

Hold everything, because a Tuesday matinee in Burbank reportedly started nineteen minutes late this week, and sources close to the situation say the delay was entirely logos. Paramount's mountain. Warner's shield. The Discovery globe, the HBO static, the Skydance sunburst, then the mountain again, because somebody forgot it had already gone.

Insiders tell SnarkWire the new combined pre-roll features every brand David Ellison now owns, in the order he bought them. Audiences are said to be clapping for the shield out of habit and booing the globe out of confusion. One projectionist has started selling popcorn during the stars.

"Nobody has reached the actual movie yet," a studio source whispered to us. "We think it's in there. We've seen that mountain so many times people are packing coats."

Of course there is other business tidying up around the edges. A pile of debt that is not the Paramount mountain, the small matter of what happens to CNN, whether two streaming services become one or none, and sports rights, whatever those are. Sources describe all of that as "fine" and "a Tuesday thing."

Ellison, we are told, has already greenlit a fix. The nineteen logos will be merged into one ninety-second animation, which will then play twice, in case anyone missed it.
